Management Team

ACI's Management Team has an average of eighteen years of industry experience, with M.D.s, Ph.D.s and Masters-level staff in a variety of disciplines. Like the rest of ACI's staff, ACI's Management Team is customer-focused and has had a very low turnover rate.

Jonathan Seltzer
President and CEO

Dr. Seltzer has over seventeen years of industry experience. His technical expertise is in the areas of Data Monitoring Committees, Regulatory Strategy, and Clinical Outcomes. He is secretary-treasurer of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators, and he serves on the steering committee of the Clinical Trial Transformation Initiative. Dr. Seltzer received board-certification in both cardiology and internal medicine. He holds a BA from Haverford College, an MBA and MA from the University of Michigan, and an MD from the University of Pennsylvania. He received postgraduate medical training at the universities of Michigan, Maryland and Chicago. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is also currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Jefferson Medical College and Director of Clinical Research at the Main Line Health Heart Center.


Liza Seltzer
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Seltzer has over seventeen years of experience in executive management positions in the health and pharmaceutical space. She has technical expertise in developing and implementing quality performance standards as well as in Health Communications and Training. Ms. Seltzer currently serves on the Panel of Judges for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. She has a BA from Georgetown University and an MA from Tufts University.


Mark Williams
Vice President, Clinical Information and Regulatory Strategy

Mr. Williams has over twenty years of experience in information technology applications and clinical data analysis and is a co-founder of Applied Clinical Intelligence LLC. Mr. Williams has been in the CRO sector for his entire career. He has expertise in CDISC standards, complex data analyses and has worked with clients and FDA medical officers on over 50 New Drug Application submissions. Mr. Williams received his BS from Penn State University.


Alan Smith
Vice President, Biometrics

Mr. Smith has over twenty-five years of experience taking clinical research programs and studies from initial inception through regulatory submission. He has had deep biometric involvement in the full range of therapeutic areas. Mr. Smith has also held executive positions at both eResearch Technology and Beecham Pharmaceuticals (now GlaxoSmithKline). Mr. Smith began his career as a lecturer in statistics at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. He has a B.SC. in Mathematics and Management Science, and an MS in Statistics from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.


Kimberly Warner
Senior Director, Client Services and Regulatory Affairs

Ms. Warner has over fourteen years of pharmaceutical industry experience in statistics, regulatory, and business development. Prior to joining ACI, Ms. Warner was in statistics at AstraZeneca, Premier Research, and Zeneca. She has worked on numerous clinical trials (including Pediatric Exclusivity studies) and has contributed to several NDA submissions and Advisory Committee Meetings. She also has clinical trial experience in several therapeutic areas. Ms. Warner has a BA and an MS in Statistics from Rutgers University. She is also Regulatory Affairs Certified (RAC).


Kuo Bianchini Tong
Senior Consultant, Health Economics and Outcomes, Reimbursement

Mr. Tong has over fifteen years experience working with clients across multiple therapeutic areas to understand how economic, financial, and reimbursement forces can be managed and how to influence product acceptance and utilization. Mr. Tong is the founder of Quorum Consulting. Prior to that, he was with Corning HTA (now known as Covance), a Washington, DC health care consulting firm. Mr. Tong was active in clinical and health services research at the University of California at Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute and at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Medicine. He received his BS from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS from Johns Hopkins University.
